Nho Que river has its source from the mountainous of Yun Nan, China at the 1,500 m high, running northwest-southeast, sawed through the Dong Van Plateau, through the districts of Dong Van, Meo Vac, Ha Giang province to enter the Gam river in Na Nat of Ly Bon commune, Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province. As a left bank tributary of the Gam River, Nho Que River are 192 km lon (46 km in Vietnam)
Actually, Nho Que River is not too long, about 46 km, the upstream segment which accounts for more than 5km is the border the two countries Vietnam – China, the rest flows on the territory of two provinces of Ha Giang and Cao Bang. But thanks dominant upstream located at an average altitude of 1,200 m above sea level, the slope is quite large, strong flow through multiple layers rugged sharp, forming numerous white rapids between the valley, making the majestic scenery that always dreaming.
The river flows through the Tu Sản canyon and Ma Pi Leng pass in Meo Vac district, about 15km from Lung Cu, is considered to be the most spectacular. Stay on top of the four seasons pass floating in the clouds, looking down thousands of meters deep under, Nho Que river after crossing the bourgeois, one side is sawn Ma Pi Leng mountain range and the other sides is Sam Pun Mountain – meaning thunder and wind. Nho Que river as a line of cerulean ink diligently carved his name in rock history. The river is still regarded as the native land of mystery endless sky between rocks.
